setting - a boat to nowhere
The novel 'A Boat to Nowhere' is a novel base on a quiet, peaceful, isolated village in Vietnam. The story happens during the Vietnam War but the village is not affected by it. The village seems like a very calm place with very few families. They have no communication source with the rest of the world. They might be escaping from the war. Because they used the lantern when they went into the forest, this gave me the clue that it was a long time ago or the village is not developed. The villagers are getting the idea of what is going on in the world by a boy appearing in the village.

You have incredible analysis skill.
This is a nice explanation of the beginning of the story. I dont know this story but after reading this post of a boat to nowhere i can kind of picture the story and it would be a good start before i acutually get a chance to read the book (if i ever did). the setting was explained well and quite descriptive. good job~ comment to me too!!!ㅋㅋ
This is a good description of the beginning of the story. It was short, but also it had your opinion and everything
Nice Job!!
Dear Nataly,
This is a nice begining, but you need to develop your posts more. Please edit your post and include more detail about the setting. Refer to the worksheet we did in class if you need to. Also, don't forget to add a new post this weekend about the plot, characterization, or theme.
Thanks!
Dear Nataly,
The beginning of your explanation is very detailed the settings. However you should tell us about the characters as well. This gives me an idea of the setting; I can picture the details of the Vietnam forest with people hiding with lanterns in their hand.
Nice post.
I think you have explained so great cool
